AAH has a
full
in-house
laboratory
in which
fecal,
blood, and
urine
samples can
be analyzed
in less than
15 minutes.
This
provides a
huge
advantage
when a pet
is sick and
quick
results are
imperative.
Some of our
brand new
lab
equipment
includes
the Vet
Test, the
LaserCyte,
the Vetstat,
the Vet Snap
Reader, and
a
Coagulation
Machine.
The Vet Test
allows us
to test the
liver,
kidneys,
blood sugar,
and muscles.
The
LaserCyte
provides a
complete
blood count
(CBC) which
checks the
health of
the red
blood cells,
white blood
cells, and
bone marrow.
The Vet Snap
Reader
allows us to
test thyroid
and liver
function.
The Vet Stat
measures
electrolytes,
and finally
the
Coagulation
device
checks for
clotting
times. As
you can
imagine
having
access to
all these
tools
ensures a
quicker
diagnosis
which leads
to quicker
and possibly
life-saving
treatment.
